Each and every person, and their actions, have an effect on the earth. If you calculate how much water a person uses, how much shampoo a person uses, or how much paper we each throw away in a year, it adds up to quite alot.
You can make a difference by purchasing from companies that care not only about your health, but about the environment as well. When you buy everyday products from companies that condone toxic ingredients and unhealthy manufacturing practices, you encourage them to continue making a profit at the expense of the health of their employees and the neighboring areas around their facility. The by-products of these products create toxins that find their way into well water and land can lead to increases in cancer in nearby areas where people live. Children and pregnant women are especially vulnerable to these toxins.
Many of the devastating effects have yet to be seen. We should think of how our children
and children in the future will be affected.
We already need air filters to breathe properly, water filters or bottled water to obtain safe
drinking water...what will be left for the children of the future? Will they be safe to breathe
the air outside without masks, will their children be able to experience a day at the beach,
or swim in the ocean?
Start reading labels and making informed choices.
Say NO to:
-Hormones and antibiotics in your foods
-Petrochemically-derived ingredients (mineral oil, petroleum jelly, synthetic fragrances, etc.)
-Animal Testing/Animal Ingredients
-Wasteful non-recycled/recyclable packaging
-Artificial ingredients
-Pesticides by purchasing organic foods when available
